Market Data
How are semiconductors doing?
Price trend for a major semiconductor exchange-traded fund, updated once per trading day after the U.S. close.
What you are looking at
This chart shows the market price of iShares Semiconductor ETF (SOXX) — an exchange-traded fund, not the index itself. Index levels are the index provider's proprietary data and we do not reproduce them without permission. An ETF tracks its index closely but is not identical to it: fees, dividends and trading spreads all create small differences.

Why there is no constituent breakdown
Unlike our S&P 500 and Dow pages, we do not publish a constituent-by-constituent breakdown here. The membership lists for these indices are not available from a source we can use, and their weighting rules apply caps we cannot reproduce — a breakdown would be misleading rather than merely approximate.
Method & caveats
- • The figures shown are the ETF's own market closing prices, sourced under licence. No index value is reproduced.
- • An ETF is not its index. Management fees, dividend timing and market spreads all cause the two to drift apart, especially over longer periods.
- • Updated once per U.S. trading day after the close. Not live, and never updated intraday.
- • Data status: End of day, source Databento EQUS.SUMMARY(EOD 日線).
